Excited about the future of wool, Xavier is a third-generation wool grower who spent his childhood on the family farm where he gained first-hand knowledge of on-farm wool production, animal welfare and sustainable environmental management.
Upon completing a degree in Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne, Xavier entered the wool trade where his education of greasy wool, processing and trading began under the tutelage of Bill.
The launch of Future Fibres Trading Co in 2022 sees Xavier join Bill on their mission to take Australian Merino wool to the world.
Away from work, Xavier enjoys helping on the family farm, running his mob of Merino ewes, playing golf and training his sheepdog ‘Donnie'.

No matter which way his clients want their wool – greasy, scoured, carbonised, open top – Bill will be hands on and actively oversee the procurement to ensure Future Fibres source the very best wool available to meet their clients’ requirements.
From a fifth-generation wool-farming family and building on a stellar wool buying and trading career that spans 30+ years, the launch of Future Fibres Trading Co in 2022 sees Bill continue his mission to take Australian Merino wool to the world.
Away from work, Bill values spending quality time with family and friends, swimming, running, working at his family farm, driving country roads in his muscle car and wearing wool.
